INVOLVEMENT
Starkville offers
many different religions, civic and volunteer organizations in which
residents may become involved as well as numerous other civic, volunteer
service and special interest organizations ranging from veterans
groups to arts associations.
RECREATION
The
Starkville Parks & Recreation Department maintains 6 city parks
which include 2 swimming pools, tennis and racquetball courts, baseball,
softball and soccer fields, and play areas for small children.
The
Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge, located 13 miles south of Starkville
is a 48,000 acre waterfoul refuge with 2 lakes, nature trails and
bird sanctuary.
