OCH Regional Medical Center
Located at 400 Hospital Road in Starkville, OCH Regional Medical Center is a progressive medical facility offering state-of-the-art services.
The OCH Regional Medical Center staff includes more than 90 physicians with specialties including obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, gastroenterology, otolaryngology (ENT), ophthalmology and urology. Numerous specialized services such as outpatient surgery, cardiac rehabilitation, sports medicine and rehabilitation, speech therapy, nuclear medicine studies, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, sleep studies, bone density scanning and labor and delivery are offered at OCH Regional Medical Center.
The hospital's radiology department, which is certified by the American College of Radiology, offers CT scanning, MRI, ultrasound and mammography services. In addition to general surgery, specialized procedures such as oral surgery, total joint replacement, carpal tunnel release and eye surgery are performed at OCH Regional Medical Center on a daily basis.
OCH Regional Medical Center's paramedic ambulance service provides area residents access to the highest level of pre-hospital emergency care available. These emergency medical providers work hand-in-hand with the Emergency Room, which is open and staffed with a physician and nurses 24 hours a day.
The OCH Regional Medical Center Special Beginnings program offers new and expectant parents numerous helpful services. Five beautiful birthing suites allow moms to labor and deliver in a home-like setting, and prepared childbirth and sibling education classes help prepare couples and children for their new arrivals. OCH Regional Medical Center also offers several services to enhance maternal-infant bonding, and a Baby Bond program that allows parents to save 20 percent on out-of-pocket maternal expenses.
The Wellness Connection at OCH Regional Medical Center is a total fitness center dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles. In addition to its array of top-of-the-line fitness equipment, the facility offers a variety of special programs and services. These include personal training, nutritional counseling, smoking cessation, adaptive fitness, and massage therapy, just to name a few.
OCH Regional Medical Center offers the community scores of health education programs and classes such as CPR, first aid, HealthWise and SlimSmart, as well as a physician referral telephone line (323-MDMD) and support groups for those with diabetes and arthritis.
Al-Anon meeting Starkville: Episcopal Church Tuesday 6:30 pm
Al-Anon Family Groups meet in over 130 countries to help families and friends of problem drinkers recover from the impacts of a loved one’s drinking. Members help each other by practicing the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous themselves, by welcoming and giving comfort to families of alcoholics, and by giving understanding and encouragement to the alcoholic.
